Looking into the eyes of a child dying of starvation in El Salvador, I decided to commit my life to this boy and others like him suffering in the developing world.  I formed the organization Live OneWorld to raise awareness among college students about the developing world and to empower them to act.  The idea spread and by the end of the following year, thousands of magazines and a half dozen student chapters had been formed at universities across the country.  After receiving a scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Global Governance and Diplomacy at Oxford University, I returned to the U.S. with an expanded vision for Live OneWorld; combine the highest philosophical values with fresh new 21st century social media and engage powerful institutions to foster relationships with the developing world.
